A little deatail about the Ford Explorer

The Ford Explorer is a mid-size Sports Utility Vehicle sold in North America. It is built by the Ford Motor Company and has been in production since 1990. The Ford Explorer was designed as a replacement for the smaller Ford Bronco II. The Ford Explorer is manufactured in Louisville, Kentucky plant in USA.

The 2011 Ford Explorer

The 2011 Ford Explorer was launched in US in the last week of July 2010. The new explorer comes with a large number of new features including the Eco Boost and Curve Control. The Eco Boost enhances the fuel efficiency of the the car by as much as 20 to 30%. The Ford Explorer also have curve control that is used to prevent the car from silipping on the curves.

The fuel efficiency is also enhanced thanks to the lighter design. Ford has used social media like facebook to market the Ford Explorer for the first time.

Ford sold about 50,000 units of the 2009 explorer. Ford expects to sell a larger number of the 2011 Ford Explorer.
